Conservatives edge NDP in fundraising

According to Elections BC, the BC Conservatives edged out the NDP in political fundraising in the second quarter of 2026 (April 1 to June 30), bringing in $1,146,268.68, up from $1,083,187.10 in the prior quarter (Jan. 1 to March 31).

A surge of donations began with the resignation of MLA John Rustad as Leader in December 2025, ushering in the leadership race that ended with Kerry-Lynne Findlay being selected by party members.

The NDP followed closely behind, bring in $1,114,505.03, up from $702,820.91 in the first quarter. The Green Party came in a distant third place at $228,388.97, up from $129,811.46.

In the first half of 2026, the Conservatives have netted $2.18 million, versus the NDP’s $1.82 million.
