WATCH: Premier Eby shuffles cabinet — Osborne to finance, Kahlon to health, Bailey to jobs
VANCOUVER — Premier David Eby has made a number of changes to his cabinet.
The news comes following now-former finance minister Brenda Bailey's announcement that she has "early-stage, treatable cancer."
During a press conference on Friday, the premier revealed that Josie Osborne will be the new finance minister, while Ravi Kahlon will be taking over as health minister, and Bailey will be moving to jobs.
Energy Minister Adrian Dix will be filling in for Bailey during the approximately six weeks she undergoes treatment.
"This team here reflects the strength of our team in government," Eby said, flanked by Bailey, Osborne, and Kahlon. "These are all experienced ministers able to deliver for British Columbians and committed to getting this work done."
