BREAKING: BC Conservative LEOC says 'not enough credible evidence' to disqualify Findlay
The BC Conservative Leadership Election Organizing Committee has announced that Kerry-Lynne Findlay will not be disqualified from the race over allegations tied to her 2025 federal campaign.
The committee argued that while she "has not provided any substantive response or cooperated," there is "not enough credible evidence" to bar her from running.

The LEOC began by noting that upon being informed of the federal investigation by the Commissioner of Canada Elections into Findlay for alleged breaches of the Elections Act, the committee has "repeatedly reached out to the said investigators from the Commissioner’s office, but has received no response to date."
"Further," they added, "LEOC has repeatedly reached out to Ms. Findlay’s campaign to provide information and cooperation in understanding what this investigation entails and its merits, if any. Repeatedly, Ms. Findlay has not provided any substantive response or cooperated."
The LEOC declared, however, "to date, there is not enough credible evidence to take further action."
"Our goal is to provide the membership with as much information as possible and to act in the party's best interests," they added. "This has been, and remains, our goal. We continue to request that Ms. Findlay provide any information and clarity on this Federal investigation. Voting will open on Saturday, May 23, at 8:00 AM with five contestants on the ballot."

Earlier Friday, Findlay announced that she will be holding a press conference in Victoria on Monday. A source told Sitka Media that she plans on clearing the air and addressing the recent Elections Canada complaint.
