BC Conservatives’ Top Staffer Departs

BC Conservative Party Executive Director Angelo Isidorou is leaving the role, according to a Party news release.

Isidorou touted the growth of the party since his taking on the top staff role in 2022:

When I joined our party and stepped into my role in 2022, we were polling at two percent, had a broken website, old branding, no money in the bank and almost no members at all. In just a few short years, we made history, surging to unprecedented support, presenting a powerful modern brand, fueled by the largest membership in the province, all under a multi million dollar organization. Most importantly, we came within a hair of forming a majority government. From two percent to over forty in just a few years.

Isidorou also described his departure as being on “amicable and mutual terms.”

BC Conservative Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay thanked Isidorou for his service: “I wish Angelo every success as he embarks on his next exciting chapter. I appreciate the continuity he provided during an early transition time as we move forward toward opportunity and prosperity for all British Columbians.” 

Party President Aisha Estey acknowledged Isidorou's contributions, referred to him as “exceptional” and wished him well.

BC Conservative Member of Parliament Aaron Gunn, viewed as influential in conservative circles in the province, also spoke out to thank Isidorou, saying “without Angelo Isidorou, the Conservative Party of BC would not exist.”

In a separate response on X, Isidorou said he’ll be spending “some much needed time with my wife and little girl" while leaving his next moves open.

A new Executive Director has not yet been announced. Reports also indicated that Party Managing Director Phil Dippenaar is also departing.
